Hi All. I have a purebred (champion) & show english mastiff - fawn with black mask (female), that was bred with my chocolate labrador (again champion) bloodlines (both AKC certified & champion lines) male.
- We produced (3) amazing "Black" Mastadors last night, and they are absolutely adorable.
- They are all black with a white diamond marking on their chests. They are super special, and are a "pure" hybrid.
- You will not find better bloodlines to make a mastador.
- Both the female and male (bitch & sire) are as top of the line and true to the breed you can get. These will be absolutely amazing pets.
- There were only (3) - I would describe all (3) as first picks of litter no "RUNTS" they are all strong and very large.

I'm in Central Illinois and have been looking for a mastador. I lost mine in May after 12 years. I live on a small farm. He just showed up at my house one February morning. Someone dumped him. He had huge feet but wasn't as big as my mixed breed beagle. He grew to 120 lbs. They lost out on a wonderful dog. He was the best. If anyone has a black male available, please let me know. Thanks.

Just curious if anyone is breeding mastadors together to get more pups? Does anyone know of any multi-generation mastadors? All I've seen are 'first generation' pups being offered, lol, and I would love to see how they turn out down the line. And just a reminder that we will be looking to add a pup to our family in February or so, if anyone around Kentucky plans to have any ready at that time, please email arholden@msn.com.

We are ready to find our gentle giant. I want a mastiff and my husband wants a lab. We have experience with both so we understand the possible health and behavioral issues of both breeds. Since we can't agree on one or the other, we have decided to compromise. Since we had lost our last dog (great dane/rotty)to old age a couple of years ago the house hasn't been the same. I was completely heart broken and didn't know if I could ever have another dog. The kids are now begging and to be honest, I miss having an oversized couch potato to lounge with and I don't feel as safe at night. We are looking for a mastador puppy. Adult dogs are not out of the question, but I prefer to do the required training with my family's involvement from the beginning. I forgot to mention in the above comment that my dog named "Baron" has NEVER been aggressive and I have personally only ever heard him bark 4 times in 3 years. He is easily trained and is great with children and dogs of all sizes.

We live in Hagan, GA. and are needing to find homes for our two female Mastadors. Mocha is 4 yo true mastador (half Mastiff, Half Lab) and we have her daughter Lizzy who is 2 yo (Mastador on moms side and Chocolate lab on dads). Mocha is various shades of brown but has a great pattern. Lizzy is white and chocolate. These are my wife's dogs so very protective over females. Should be introduced to males and other dogs slowly. You will need to arrange transportation.

Located in Louisville, KY: I have a 14 month old, solid black male mastador that I am looking to rehome. 80 lbs and still filling out. Got him at 8 weeks old from an ad on here. Neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, on monthly heartworm and flea preventive, housetrained and crate-trained. Timid and shy around new people, but never aggressive. When he is inside he barks at people he sees outside, but never barks when HE is outside- and if anyone comes in the house he hides. He is only a big bad tough guy if they are outside and he is safe inside,lol. Loves kids but doesn't realize his own size and can knock them down. Same with the cat. He is an indoor-only dog...he hates the outdoors and is scared of everything. I have been working with him and with a trainer, but I am a single mom with 2 kids, work full time, and am a full time student. I simply do not have the time to focus on him like he needs. Trainer said this is his personality and he will never be an outgoing, brave dog but with time and patience we can help him cope with his fears. He will realize that the garbage can, windchimes, and neighbors truck are not the boogie man :-)
He needs to go to a home that has time to devote to him, and even though he loves children I would worry about him being too rowdy for young kids. He is used to lounging on the furniture and sleeping in bed with somebody at night. Do not want to give him to anyone living in a rental property- I see too many animals dumped because of landlords not allowing pets. He is allergic to corn so I feed him Professional brand dog food, which is corn-free and $30 for a 35 lb bag. We are still working on walking on a leash...if you are at a park or somewhere away from home he is fine, but when walking the neighborhood he pulls to go back home, and he is strong! He knows sit, down, shake, gentle (when taking a treat from your hand) and gimme a kiss. Due to the money I have invested in him, and wanting to make sure he goes to a home that understands the financial aspect of caring for a pet, he is not free. His cost is $300 firm, and that includes his extra-large foldable metal crate, leash, collar, food bowls, and any uneaten food. Will require vet references to make sure previous pets have been taken care of, and he does need to go to an experienced PATIENT home. I have a handsome and intelligent mastador dog almost 3 years old - he is apricot in color and would like to mate him with the same. Seems like most of the mastadors I see are mixed with black and brown labs, making the puppies more black than any other color. I would like to get pick of the litter for a puppy similar to my own. Any one know where I can find some interested in mating this wonderful breed please reach out. They really should be recognized by the AKC.
Wow! I am so excited to see that so many other people have and are continuing to fall in love with the Mastador! I have one that is 3 yrs old, found her at our local shelter and she is the most wonderful dog I've ever had the pleasure to own! She is so easy to train, obedient, loving and wonderful with our two little kids. She is a couch potato when you want her to be and is the best running partner I could ask for! She is protective of us and our home when she senses we are threatened, but is gentle when she knows all is well! I just love her and hope this beautiful Hybrid gets more recognition someday!!!
