Webbed toes -- not just for ducks
Sorry the photo isn't so good, but it's hard to get a photo of the webbed toes. It's easier to just feel between your dog's toes and see if they are webbed. If they are webbed, you'll feel like a piece of skin between each toe. If you spread the toes out, you can feel that the webbing joins almost from the tips of the toes.

I do believe that Jake has webbed toes also. When he swims, he looks like he can climb out of the deep water.
I guess the webbing is a dominant gene. Seems like a lot of lab mixes get the webbed toes.
We're going to the beach today! I'll hopefully get some good pics of Rocco.
Buford's feet are webbed too. We took him to the dog park yesterday and I finally got him to come in the lake for the first time. He was a natural and seemed to love it
Thanks
I find it funny how some people make fun about weird-looking paws or something. In reality, some dogs have webbed feet because this makes them more effective in what they’ve been bred to do. For swimming, digging soil, and even gripping and traction, these paws developed for improved mobility and function. You can read more about those here: http://dogsaholic.com/care/dogs-with-webbed-feet.html
