A lot of black mastadors

I'm just curious, but has anyone seen any other color mastador? Most of the ones I've seen online seem to be mastiff and a black lab mix. Although like I said, when we got Rocco at the SPCA, they said he was with his brother. And that dog had a tan body with a black face. But I don't see many non-black mastadors. Curious if anyone else has seen different colors. I know mastiffs come in many colors -- apricot, brindle and even "blue" and labs have many colors, too.

Also, after doing a bit of research, I found that they say in a lot of black lab mixes, the dog will have a white chest and either some white hairs on their toes or white-tipped toes. They say that is left over from a now-extinct breed, the St. John's Water Dog. It's actually the ancestor of modern retrievers and, likely the Newfoundlands. I just thought it was interesting.

Also does everyone's mastador have the webbed toes of a lab?

Actually that is a good question about different colors. Funny now that I think about it I haven't seen any until my mom reminded me that my first dog when I was a kid was a Mastador. His name was Frowsey. Ill try get some pics if I can. He had light tan fur and white highlights.

I'm a bit late to this post, but my Mastador is a redish gold color. Not sure about the mother or father as he was a stray I adopted from the local pound.

I have a mastador. He is yellow. His mother was a Yellow Lab and his father was a fawn English Mastiff. His name is Goliath. He has webbed toes. He really looks more like a giant Yellow Lab than anything else.

We adopted a mastador today. Holly is fawn colored. Her litter mates included 1 brindle, 1 black, and another fawn.

We adopted a Mastador from a rescue and she is a black/gray brindle. Not sure if she has web toes, will have to check. We were originally told that she is a Great Dane/Mastiff mix. Don't quite understand that as she is definitely a Mastador. Will post a pic when I get a chance.

I just saw my brothers 4 week old mastador puppies. There are a total of seven, 2 black, 2 chocolate, and to my surprise 4 all white. (after not finding any pics of white mastadors online. Beautiful pups! Mom is white Lab and Dad is a tan possibly brindle mastiff.) I'm debating whether to take the all black or all white, both are equally magnificent.

Post up a pic of the all white one if you can!

Hi, I have a 5 month old Mastador, he now weighs 38 pds. I was told by the owner that my pups dad was Old English Mastiff and the mom is a Choc Lab. My pup has a beautiful brown with black coat, and he has one light blue eye and one hazel eye. I've had him for 11 weeks and since I've had him he's gained 30 pds. He's beautiful and he's smart. I am so in love with my new pup.

We have what we are pretty sure is an Onyx Brindle Mastador. His head is black with a carmel swil starting over his left eye and then swirling over his entire body. He is five months old and weighs 51 pounds today. His mother is a pureblood yellow English Lab that got out. There is a brindle Mastiff that roams that neighborhood and they thought she tangled with him. Judging by pictures we have looked up of mastiff puppies, we are 99% sure that we have a mastador.

We are Mastador breeders. They are fabulous dogs. We have black and brindle pups. One pup that we kept is brindle and he is a monster. The father is an Englsh Mastiff, and mom is a Black Lab. Great combination of a dog. Mastiffs are known not to be the smartest dog in the world. :0)

Who told u mastiffs are the smartest dog? The border collie is then poodle. Mastiffs don't even fall in the top ten great family dog though.
